- A.No! RLS will not release your resume to anyone without your written or verbal authorization.

- A.Given RLS' internal database, client and candidate network, we can quickly identify active opportunities in the legal market. In addition, RLS has successfully generated strategic hire opportunities for associate and partner candidates given the individual's academic, professional background, book of business, or compensation expectations.
- Q.What if I need assistance in making a decision regarding accepting a firm or company offer?
- A.This is a service that RLS can and does provide to all of their candidates. We can assist you by assessing how compatible you are with the personalities and culture of the firms or corporations in question. In addition, RLS discusses the issue of quality legal work and how intellectually challenging will this work be for you short and long-term.
- Q.What ethical considerations should a partner factor into his plans when giving consideration to making a lateral law firm move?
- A.Partners have a fiduciary responsibility to their law firm partnership, but the court recognizes that clients are entitled to choose the attorney they wish to represent them. That written, you are entitled to bring clients to your new firm, but you cannot talk to any clients about going with you until after you inform your current firm that you are contemplating a departure from their firm. This provides more of a level playing field with reference to potential clients.
